Dr. Lai perform facial plastic and reconstructive procedures. She is board-certified in Head and Neck Surgery through the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and has extensive experience in both cosmetic surgery and reconstruction of the head and neck. In addition, she has completed additional training as a facial plastic and reconstructive fellow at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, which is affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston. Below, you will find some of the procedures that are frequently performed by Dr. Lai.
Reconstruction
We generally perform head and neck reconstruction after surgery to remove cancer. Most commonly patients need to have reconstruction after we remove skin cancers from the face, neck, or body. Other reconstructive procedures include revising deforming scars such as dog bites and acne scars, and performing surgery to restore symmetry after facial paralysis.
Cosmetic Procedures
Our office is equipped to perform a wide range of cosmetic procedures. Our office staff is very familiar with these procedures and would be happy to answer any other questions you may have. Most insurance companies do not cover procedures done for cosmetic reasons. We are always happy to offer you a free cosmetic consultation so that you can present your concerns, and we can evaluate what treatment is necessary and what the cost will be.
